St Kilda Film Festival - Continued

Went to the St Kilda Film Festival last week, the Clermont Ferrand Short Film Festival session. 10 short films were screened, 10 highlights from the Clermont-Ferrand National Competition in 2005 and 2006. For highlights of 2 years worth of comp, they weren't that good. Or maybe I am just not arty enough to appreciate them more. I spent half of my time in there staring at the screen picking my brain trying to guess what the film might be about.. of course while listening to the inappropriate sounds the couple sitting beside me was making.. as they were pashing non stop.

My favourite is the La Révolution des crabes, a story about the Pachygrapsus Mormatus, commonly known as "depressed crabs"... Follow the link and click watch! The Carlitopolis was pretty funny. Birds was weird.. but everybody likes watching dogs fly, right?!?! I don't understand what Overtime was about, but I can see that it's good animation. Another favourite of mine is Raymond.. the story about a swimming instructor and the three basic motions - translation, rotation, and elevation.

Well, apparently the all the films I like are available on the net. Enjoy..
ps: me gonna miss Melbourne soooooooo much.. pooo!
