Denera on Prambors Nubuzz - 2nd week
Stank you smelly much :)
Untung ada Lily Allen
3 hari makan gaji buta. Done only 3 minutes work per day and browsed the internet for the rest of the 7 hours and 57 minutes. BOSEN, MAMA!
All I can say is.. untung ada Lily Allen.
Why can't I sleep at night? Don't say it's gonna be alright.
I want to be able to eat spaghetti bolognase and not feel bad about it for days and days
All my magazines they talk about weight loss, if I buy those jeans I could look like Kate Moss
I know it's not the life that I chose, but I guess it's just the way that things go
-everything's just wonderful
Now you're calling me up on the phone
So you can have a little whine and a moan
And it's only because you are feeling alone
-smile
You can’t knock em out, You can’t walk away,
Try desperately to think of the politest way to say,
“Just get out my face!” “Just leave me alone!”
“And no, you can’t have my number, cos I lost my phone.”
-knock 'em out
Shattered the lie but you think I don't already know,
Don't try to deny cos my fuse is ready to blow
Its your turn to learn I think that you know where to go
It's a shame, shame, shame for you
-not big
I wasn't joking when I said I didn't have much to do today..

Babel (***)
One of Rolling Stone's 10 best movies of 2006. A movie interlocking stories of 6 different families.
Coming from the same director as 21 Grams, it wasn't really my cup of tea. It is too slow paced and too quiet (like Jap movies.. the pause between someone saying something and someone else replying is just too long), but the story line is interesting, it makes you wonder about what will happen next.
I can see the important connection among stories in Morocco, Mexico, and the States. But I'm pretty sure Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu inserted the story in Japan solely for the purpose of having a chick flashing her crotch - then naked later in the movie. The Japan story is so unnecessary.
Watch it and you’ll know what I’m talking about.
Moonlight Cinema 2006
So grab your warmest blanket, a bottle of wine, and head to the Royal Botanic Garden for an outdoor cinema experience.
Things that might come in handy to have with you:
1. Rug/low beach chair
2. Bean bag (bean beds are available for hire at $6 each + $10 refundable deposit)
3. Torch - to find your way to the toilet and in the toilet. Candles can be an alternative.
4. Blanket blanket blanket
5. Cushion.. or boy/girlfriend with some/alot of cushioning
6. Snack and drinks.. There are foodstalls there if you can't be bothered.
Here's the link to the program.
I heart Moonlight Cinema! See you there!

Kiss my ass, Rom
Denera - Interpretasi
Very proud of them and wish them the best of luck.

Wo/Men bloggers
That comes in line with the tiny research I just did. According to a 1 year old article I found "Men are from Google, Women are from Yahoo" by Jason Lee Miller, men and women use the internet for different reasons. He gave some examples which I think are somewhat too prototyping, but maybe true.. for people around his age. He's the one doing the real research anyway, so I'll take his words on it.
I might be a half feminist, a quarter full-time housewife type, and a quarter ignorant, which makes me proportional as a woman =o) I am one of those females who demand equality and reckon a woman can do whatever a man can (as long as it's physically possible). But, I don't have any intention to start violence against men, just to be equal with them (so women will have something like a white ribbon day) Don't get me wrong.
However, what I'll do is... I will write my posts un-girlishly. There's not gonna be anymore posts about how happy I am because I had a great day at work or how sad I am cos my baby's leaving. No! (but that's starting next year... hehehe) I'll write about my hobbies and some informational crap as a change.
Since I am one of those weirdos who don't have a hobby. I should first look for one. That is one of my new year's resolutions for 2007. I'm gonna try a whole lot of different things until I found something I like. And if I didn't, at least I won't die wondering.
I'll keep you updated.
He's set a date
30th of January 2007. A Tuesday. Don't know why on earth he picked a Tuesday. Maybe it's good in a way, cos I won't have too much time to miss him. I can imagine coming to work with swollen eyes on the Wednesday. It's become clearer as it gets closer. Tried as hard as I could to make time goes slower. Seems like it's doing the opposite since I enjoy my time spent with him even more.
Keep telling myself that change can be good. It can make something good better. Hopefully. Or only a teeny tiny bit will change. Possibly.
I'm scared of change. I think of change and immediately I'll go away with my tail between my legs. But nothing will ever remain the same. Who knows, that might be a start of something more beautiful.
Amen.

The Guardian (**)
But I guess there's always have to be a balance.. in life, in movies (there I go again with the balance crap! Haha!). Although in this movie, I wouldn't say that there's a balance. It's ugly actors and actresses Vs. Ashton Kutcher and Neal McDonough only. Oh NO!
Anyway, in summary, it's too bloody long, the storyline is sooo predictable, crappy ending, and the ticket girl didn't let us took our Nando's chips into the cinema.
HOORAH!
Shortbus (****)
In between the scenes, a view of a city from above is shown as a methapor of the people's feelings. The movie has an artsy fartsy side, but it's still enjoyable. It's R rated, because it has scenes with: a room full with naked people in many sizes having sex, 3 naked men 1 singing Star Spangled Banner into the other's bum (work out their positions yourselves!), and the married couple having sex in many positions.
I believe you can always get something out of a movie; from a lesson to be learnt (I might be one of those people who get answers for some unanswerable questions in life from movies.. unanswerable is a subjective term) to simply a new word. Unfortunately for this movie, it's the latter for me.
Pre-orgasmic doesn't mean that someone's going to have an orgasm. It means that that someone has never had an orgasm.
There you go. My first movie review - Shortbus.

PDA.. yes, we don't care!
I wanna kiss you underneath the stars
Maybe we'll go too far
We just don't care
We just don't care
We just don't care
You know I love it when you're loving me
Sometimes it's better when it's publicly
I'm not ashamed I don't care who sees
Us hugging and kissing, our love exhibition, oh
We'll rendezvous out on the fire escape
I'd like to set off an alarm today
The love emergency, don't make me wait
Just follow I'll lead you
I urgently need you, oh

Me no like Borat
The List
The second one is if people sleep well everyday. A very very deep sleep for at least 7 hours a day. I bet this will have even bigger effect on the ladies, since they will have more money to spend on clothing or makeup instead of products to eliminate the 7 signs of aging (the 7 synonyms of wrinkly. Stoopid people at Olay scaring stoopid people around the world)
The third is if people have less expectations towards other people. If you don't expect someone to do something for you without you telling him/her to, because you think that's just the way some things are supposed to happen, the world will be a much simpler place. It's sad when someone you want to appreciate something you do likes someone else's better, but a wise man once said "Do something because you like it. Do it for you and not for someone else". So as long as you enjoy it, don't bother about what other people think.
That's my list so far.. I believe more things will tail the 3 above :)

Divorce stories
The same colleague has a brother who recently has left his wife for another (married) woman. The brother and the other woman have known each other for about 10 years. She has been "only a friend" to him for that period of time when he's thrown the question. He told his wife that the affair has only been going on for 1 year. However, the wife found 2 anniversary cards (this is how the she found out about the affair), 1 written by the husband and 1 by the other woman, both congratulating each other on their 9th anniversary. When the wife asked about it, he said that that's how long they have been close, and went on with his 1 year affair line. Nobody in the family believed it. 5 years ago, the husband asked their joint bank account to be separated.
I think money is one good indicator of infidelity. A cheater needs money for dates, presents, and those sorts of stuff he/she should be doing with or giving to his/her partner.
Anyway, my colleague also has a sister who is divorced. She and her husband went to this marriage counseling to resolve problems they had in their marriage (which obviously did not work). And the person they saw said that the time between someone having thoughts of a divorce and the time that person actually want a divorce is 7 years. So it pretty much adds up for the previous story.
I think marriage is a sacred thing. It should not be broken by any third, fourth, of any other party, despite how perfect the reasons underlying are... I also think that I need to hang out with younger colleagues.

Bloody Mary
Anyway, I was totally over it before I went to bed. Then, as usual, my body thought that sleeping is so overrated. Thus it decided that it has had enough rest at 4 in the morning. It was still dark outside.. So I went out, turned on the telly, and the Urband Legend: Bloody Mary was on, an older version of the one I saw before. I thought.. hey, why not.
Turned out that it wasn't really a good idea, cos THIS is what I ended up watching:
Eeewwwwww.. disgusting, isn't it!! I watched it til the end though.. not as good as the newer one. I would be lying if it doesn't have any effect on me until now. This morning at work, I was still half asleep when I went to the toilet. Bear in mind that I work in a hospital (hospitals freak me out! Just like schools and universities..) So, yeah.. I was getting out of the toilet when suddenly, the door opened by itself!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I jumped out of my skin, seriously! Apparently, there's this little chinese lady who was scared that if she didn't open the door slowly, she would've hit someone. But that someone would actually rather be hit by the door than being scared off like that! Well, her intention was really nice, but...! But..!!! Hehehe..

La Clique Spoiler
The first act was these 2 dudes, a huge bloke and a smaller one, both very built. They wore a singlet and tight shorts with England flag print. They did their acrobatic thingo (i.e. the smaller one stood on the big guy's shoulders, the smaller one stand on one hand on the big one's head), which was brilliant, just like those you see on the telly. After a few tricks, they got off the stage, took a few steps away from the stage, and suddenly turned back and got back on to the stage. They took off their singlets (which invited cheers from the audiences) and did more stuff. So I thought.. okay, raunchy.
Second act was this lady, a yank, in a tiny corset, g-string and fishnet stockings on roller-skates, talking crap, which supposed to be funny. I reckon I can do what she did, I talk crap everyday, although I don't do it in that get up. (Note to self: something to consider)
There were also these 2 Argentinean dudes dancing the tango, who were extraordinarily good. I ran out of breath just watching they dance;
A very attractive girl who did some exotic hula hooping, loved her;
Ida Barr, didn't know who he was, still no idea about who he is, have no intention at all to find out, he sucked.
And the highlights of the whole show are:
Captain Frodo - a double jointed almost bald dude from Norway, wearing nothing but a pair of tennis shorts and a headband, running 2 stringless tennis rackets (12" and 10" if my memory serves me right) through his body. He had confetti in his pocket which he threw whenever he succeeded in putting one of his body parts through the tennis racket or when something hit another thing (i.e. his head against the microphone). It was hilarious, but the funniest bit was actually the look on the audiences' faces. This one guy sitting at the front row looked like he's in more pain than Captain Frodo. Funny as!
Mozes - A bald guy with fake Mexican mustache (you know, that kind of mustache). He got on to the stage, wearing only a singlet and a pair of white old skool jocks. He did some magic tricks with his hankie. He clenched his hand, put hankie into it, opened his hand, hankie disappeared, pulled hankie out of his ear. Took off his singlet, folded it neatly, put it on the floor next to him, did the same trick and hankie came out from a different place. Then, he took off his jocks, treated it the same way as his singlet, became completely naked, did the same trick, hankie came out from his bum. RAUNCHEEE! Where else but in La Clique! He then did some acrobats too in the second half of the show. (So he's not only about naked magic anyway!)
And the last performance was the sexiest. A cheeky Irish guy in a one third filled bathtub, wearing a pair of wet jeans, doing some acrobat up and down a line while sprinkling water onto the audiences. Forget about Justin Timberlake, the Irish guy's brought sexy back!
This is what inside the Spiegeltent is like.
In summary: La Clique is a must see!
Happy Fri Day
Here I am, 8 o'clock in a Friday morning, all by myself in this 4 people-cubicle (yay!), drinking my V, eating my salt & vinegar smith's (healthy brekky!), listening to my 5 day old ham and andy podcast, pretending to do some serious work (which I actually am *donald trump face*) and putting on my mascara (which have to stop everytime I hear footsteps approaching.. or when there's a beep beep sound coming from the door.. I can't be bothered to go to the ladies' and I don't want my colleagues, to know that I'm putting on mascara at my desk.. hahaha.. can't do it properly in front of a big mirror and I'm now doing it with almost no mirror.. So I'm giving myself a 5 star, despite the horrifying result)
Now..
It's only 9.44 on a Friday night, but I don't have any desire to go out and socialize.. I'm old and boring.
In Betweens..
My dog has a tumor on his back, it has to be removed but there's a fat chance that he'll stay alive if he gets into that operation. Boo hoo..
My sister and I have discovered what might be the most important material of boy/girlfriend that potentially can make a relationship work.
Ivan browses underwear websites at work - a few days ago, he was looking at this wonderjocks and today is all about delta goodrem's bra line. I'm starting to wonder what his research is going to be on.

Poledance
It was really fun! Unfortunatelly I don't have any not so embarassing photos to put here, but I'll do a demonstration of what I've learnt if you ask me to... NOT! Hehe.. not that I don't want to, I've forgotten all the moves.. and you don't have a pole.. or do you?
Anyway, it's worth a shot, highly recommended. A great way to have fun with the girls.

Right wrong wrong right right left
Anyway, there was this guy I met not long after I got out of the longest relationship I've ever been in. A very nice guy. He's someone who'd worship you like a goddess and work his ass off just to get you something you might want. He's the type who'd put you in the spotlight and stand at the side looking proudly at you (but not like a trophy kind of thing). Not someone who'd let go of your hand when he sees someone he doesn't want to see him holding hands with some girl.
A little story that might help the guys in making a girl blush, corny but I think it's kinda cute.
When we first knew each other, I pulled a prank on him and told him that that day was my birthday. It was sometime during the exam period, I told him that nobody visited me on the night of my birthday, so he insisted of coming over with his housemate and celebrate it with me.. I totally rejected that idea.
The next day, I was studying at the library, put my mobile on silent, put it in my bag and not care about it at all. When I went for a break, I found 18 text messages on my mobile from numbers I didn't recognize wishing me a happy birthday. A few more were still coming in. Some of the people who sent me those messages were smart enough to say that they're wishing me a happy birthday on his behalf.. and added some cheesy stuff, but there was one slow one whose text sounded like: "hey man, is this your new number, what do you mean?" and then that guy rang me. Funny as.
But.. long story short, it didn't work out. I did some bad things and I completely understand if he wants to stay mad with me for the rest of my life (please don't hate me when I'm no longer around on this planet). Well, actually he might have totally forgotten about me (fingers crossed), but I just want to clarify something.. I never said anything bad about you. Whenever anyone asked back then, I said nothing.. nothinggggg... noooooothiiiiinggg *whitney houston styleeeee* hehe.. ahhh.. jayus.. Sooo, to conclude, I invite you to forgive me.. for the sake of Lebaran.. not that either of us celebrates it.. But how's that sound???
My store Myer
I accidentally bumped into him at Myer.. he looked great, fashionable as always. It was funny.. despite the length of our conversation, I could feel that feeling as if I were still in uni, whispering at the back seats (fyi: he has the loudest whisper you can ever imagine. It is actually louder than when he's talking normally hehehe.. funny funny) bitching about those people who talk too much in class, who had always succeded in making us come home even later. Those times..

Rules rules rules
Starting a new relationship is much harder. Alot of adjustments, adaptations, and compromisings to do. Well, having a relationship is not easy to start with, as it comes with a shitload of other things, i.e. commitment, rararara. Starting, maintaining.. maybe ending it would be the easiest part.. at times.
I remember a few years ago, I was looking at my ex's ex's boyfriend's friendster profile (below is the diagram if you're one of those *whisper* slow ones).

I don't actually need to do the diagram and you don't need to know the people righhhhttt?? Hehehe.. Me blogger - You blogder! I got carried away that I almost forgot what I was about to say. So, this chick (Mime) wrote a testimonial for Disco Bear that looks like this (ps: names have been omitted to protect privacy.. and to prevent people who might know someone who knows them to tell them that I am talking about them... it's a shush factor!)

When I read it, I thought.. is that what people do nowadays??? You set up rules before going into a relationship. What's the beauty in it? No assumptions, predictions... It then skipped my mind until pretty recently, I found out that someone else is doing that too! Man, I must be so old that I don't know these things.
I think I should also bring up some rulings in my very own relationship.. just to keep up with the trend.. be in fashion.. you know.. I can only think of 1 thing though. See, si pacar wants to pursue a career in music, he wants to be a musician.. I repeat, musician, not singer.. or vocalist, whatever (he objects when I say singer instead of musician) So, my very smart friend came up with this question and solution to her own question.
Sin: "If Erik became famous, he'd have many girl fans, what if he cheated on you.. or something?"
Me: "Well..."
Sin: "You should have an agreement beforehand, to split the royalty 50-50 if he cheated on you.."
SinSin then walked away and I stood there in awe. Smart!
That'll for sure be one of the rules in my relationship, I'll think of some more and keep you posted.
P.S.: I just realized that the testimonial doesn't actually say what the rules are, she used to have a testimonial with them. I think it was understanding... and... those kind of crap haha.. oops..
Super Power
It's only 8 in the morning and I'm already on my second cup of coffee. How's that! A combination of warm weather and unsolved mystery of "Where did the budget go??" does not equal to a good night sleep at all. I woke up at 2 am and found myself trying to figure out which cost centre I've screwed up and I kept telling myself to refresh (??!.. there's this thing on the computer, i.e. software, to handle the budgeting crap, that I have to refresh every once in a while) WHAT THE! Seriously! It took me pretty much half an hour to get my head around who I am and why I should go back to sleep.
Back in my uni years, I used to sleep on an unsolved assignment, normally programming ones. So when I got stuck, I went to bed and the solution usually popped into my dream. At times I remembered what it was, but there were occasions where I just sat in front of my PC and out of nowhere I got these ideas.. which worked by the way.
When I was a kid, my cousins taught me this finger dance they do to this children song called "Potong Bebek Angsa" which translates to Cut the Duck.. Swan?. Hehehe.. stoopid Indonesian songs with stoopid titles and meaningless lyrics. ANYWAYYY.. I kept trying and trying but I couldn't do it.. So that night, I went to bed, and the next morning, my finger danced beautifully! I still have that skill.. which has often been misused by Jovy. Everytime she introduces me to someone new, she asks me to do it for that person... hmm.. things I have to put up with.. HAHAHA
So that's my super power.. 's for WAS. Cos last night, it didn't solve anything.. and a few nights ago, I had a dream about me solving this thing, which I tried the very next morning.. it didn't work. Hehehe.. I'm talking rubbish.. Anyway.. I couldn't get myself back to sleep until 5.30.. Slept until 6 and got ready to work. Geez.. It's gonna be a looooooooooong day.

Wish today was Friday
It didn't get better when I got into the office. I was on training for the last 2 days, and this morning when I checked my emails, work has piled up. Tired tired tired..
Anyway didn't get on to the treadmill today.. one thing I'm trying to turn into a habit, so I'm further and further away from this
I'm starting to think that I've chosen the wrong course to study. Had I chosen engineering, I would probably have created something like this
It's the ultimate gadget the people in The Biggest Loser would have ever dreamt of. Eat everything you can think of, turn the fat blaster on and off the fat go.. How wonderful would it be.. awwwww.. I want ice cream.. but me sick, no can have ice cream..
Well I wish tomorrow was Friday.. NEED.. WANT.. WEEKEND.. BAD!

Lame, yea, but..
I didn't even know your name
Now today
You're always on my mind
I never could have predicted that I’d feel this way
You are beautiful surprise
Intoxicated every time I hear your voice
You've got me on a natural high
It's almost like I didn't even have a choice
You are a beautiful surprise
Whatever it is you came to teach me
I am here to learn it cause
I believe that we are written in the stars
I don't know what the future holds
But I'm living in the moment
And I'm thankful for the man that you are
You are everything I ask for in my prayers
So I know why angels brought you to my life
Your energy is healing to my soul
You are a beautiful surprise
You are an inspiration to my life
You are the reason why I smile
You are a beautiful surprise

My world
It was really really odd that we were under the impression that Sydney's won the game. We saw the score and Sydney was a few points ahead. Only after I read the news online that I knew that West Coast was the winner. When I told the guys, they were as confused as I was. They thought that it might be last year's final that we watched. FREAKY!
Dondon, the Jap take away restaurant just opened opposite my place. NICE!
An ad on one of Indonesian free mag in Melbourne tricked me and my Te into going to this new Indonesian restaurant on Dorcas Street, which apparently, is not opened yet! It's nowhere in the ad that says that the restaurant is not yet open or soon to be opened or.. whatever. There was even a voucher to win, which suggests that the restaurant is already up and running. STOOOPID!!!
I've found a shortcut from my office to the royal parade! Which is not a biggie at all, since I reckon a blindman can also find it. But I also reckon that when it comes to sense of directions, a blindman definately has a much much better one than I do. So, YAY!
I think I'm getting dumber. I'm living in a place where everything belongs somewhere. In the old days, my brain was challenged almost everyday. When I needed to find something, i.e. a hammer (not that I used a hammer everyday), then.. BAM! My brain was immediately put into work, figuring out where I put it after I last used it. It could be under my dirty laundry, in the cupboard under the sink, in the mailbox. Wherever it was, I've always succeeded in finding it, although the time I needed to find it varies depending on how tricky the place was. My place now is pretty spick and span!
I wanna change the look of this blog.
This blogger whose blog I've been religiously reading has just released a book. She co-wrote it with someone. She's this figure that I've always wanted to be. A smart, strong, very independent, adventurous individual. I reckon she has everything, yet she's still very humble. Can't wait to get my hands on her book!
Time really flies. It felt like only yesterday that I came back from my 2 month holiday in Indo, Yanti came here for a holiday, I got my beautiful surprise, my parents came for my graduation.. which all wrapped up into the most memorable Melbourne summer ever. Now half a year has passed and I'm halfheartedly counting down the days I have remaining to spend with my boy. BOO HOO!
A Krispy Kreme shop has just opened in Melbourne (not Narree Warren). Me Te and I have made our way there this arvo and grabbed ourselves a dozen donuts. ICK!
That's about it.. Well, there are much more but they are either equally uninteresting or more uninteresting. So not to bore you, I'm outta here!
Which one would you call home?

Paranoid Android
Some people just jump straight in.
There isn't any formula that can corroborate excellent results. Having a long time to contemplate about jumping in doesn't necessarily guarantee that the result will be better than having shorter time.
When we thought that we've reached "the" decision and actually jumped in, we sometimes become paranoid, worrying too much about what we haven't put in to the calculations, scared of making the wrong decision, failing, and missing out.. the risks. Trapped in our own egoistic mindsets.
But life is all about choices and risks. We can't have all, we have to choose, so all we can do is believe in ourselves and not waste what we have, and everything's gonna be alright.
You, too, will be alright, sis...

Updates
Enough about the very interesting cup crap. The new place has better scenery as well, unfortunately, the hotties work in other team that doesn't have anything to do with mine. It's so unfair! Why can't one of them be in my team. Now I have to buy lollies to hang out at their part of the office. They'd better notice me soon, or I'll be getting fat for nothing! Hehehe..
I have the best trainer ever. She's Scottish, with a mix of Scottish and English accent. Loving her! I've managed to pick up a bit of Scottish, i.e. hunky dory, usage: "Is everything looking hunky dory?". Never heard of that expression before, so I just assume that it's Scottish!
Btw, I'm working at a hospital. I can't wait to have the time to sneak into an operating room. Well, maybe not an operating room, but some room with a patient (of course not the one with contageous disease)... on second thought.. let's not go anywhere near a patient, I'm aware that I'm not the healthiest person on the planet. Replace patient with doctors. How cool is it to hang out with doctors! So long my accountant, programmer and engineer friends!! Hehehe.. jjjjjjust kidding. I won't trade you guys with anything in the whole wide world *HUGS*
The hospital has these respond colors thingy. They are all listed on that plastic id card we have to wave in front of that thing to unlock the door. So when you hear a respond color purple on the PA, it means that there's a bomb threat and you should not touch the bomb. Respond color black: armed threat. We should obey instructions, stay calm & await police assistance. Hehehehe..
I'm currently living in a sofaless, tvless, to recap: furnitureless unit. Sold everything because I've gotta move out soon. The new owner is going to occupy the place. A huge annoyance. I hate travelling! Although it's not really travelling, but they both require packing. Hm.. maybe it's not the travelling that I hate. Hehehe.. I'm talking rubbish. Renting sucks! I don't have the greatest housing agent either. There was this one time when they let themselves in without telling me or my housemate beforehand. That's breaking and entering. They're lucky I didn't sue them! *muka galak* Hehehe..
It's Ivan and Faith's wedding tomorrow! I'm taking the day off. Weather forecast says it's gonna be b-e-a-utiful tomorrow. It's gonna be a beautiful wedding... ahhhhh.. Ivan... whyyyyyy... whyyyyyy... why can't I be the first one among all of us!?!?!?!? Hehehehhehe..
Lelah ah.. Bye now

What's hot and what's not 2
Hot: Lynx Dry TV ad, it’s an absolute cracker! Check it out yourself
Not: Acne & dry skin.. boo hoo
Unnecessary, really..
A couple of things I learnt from radio shows:
1. Undersextimate = any situation similar with one where Paris Hilton
claimed she has only had sex with 2 men
2. Maybe.. maybe.. panda will no longer be on the list of endangered species
and will soon be on the menu of some chinese restaurants
3. An exclamation mark in a text message sent by a bloke can somehow
determines his level of eagerness in having a second date

That phone call
She told me that the husband passed away last month. She was crying as she told me to take her husband's name off the insurance policy. I felt so bad asking her questions as she obviously was still trying so hard to cope with her loss. But she insisted that I continued. I guess she needed someone to talk to.. I believe that sometimes it's easier to burst your feelings to a total stranger.
Now that 5 minute phone call has dragged this total stranger's mood down to the ground.
I remembered when I was little and we had this very very very old relative. She was so old that I used to think she could be put in a museum, just next to the dinosaur. She was a nice lady, she used to give me Rp. 500 whenever I water her flowers (I'm a hardworker! hehe). But she was that old that once I popped a question to my mother, about death. I can't remember what my question was but it bothered me for the next few days because I was so afraid to die, and I told mom about it. I don't know why but she got angry of my statement and never had I mentioned it again (my mom was a killer, dude, I'd turn the world around if that could stop her from being mad hehehe)
Death is not one of my favourite topics to talk about, and neither is most people's. Although I have once overheard someone on a tram started a conversation with a commuter sitting beside him by asking about whether he wanted to be cremated or burried. That wacko dude hehe..
I guess many people are afraid of death.. or maybe how it will happen is more of a bigger issue. But when you think about it, it's much much scarier to be the ones who are left behind. They have to move on with their lives, while there's a big gap in their hearts where that person used to fill. I hope that lady will be okay..

A loooooong day
Ladies and gentlemen..
I'm blogging from work! By email! So stoopid webmarshal wouldn't allow me access blogger?? Who cares!?!?! Just found out about it a couple of days ago from my sister, and immediately activated it hehehe.. Although by doing this, I wouldn't be able to keep altering my entry as I normally do - post an entry, publish it, read it a couple zillion of times - make changes - read it some more - change change change..
What day is today?
It's the day I had my first taste of vegimite. Can you believe it? 6 years I've been in Australia, but not once have I had that one of Australian icons. I had it on a toasted bagel. It tasted funny.. first time it hit my tastebuds, a nostalgic feeling of being curled in a wave in the ocean strucked me. It was salty as hell..
It's home time!!

Just some thoughts
Have you ever felt down and suddenly something you least expected happen? Have you got something that you can count on to lift your mood whenever you feel down? I have something I usually think about when I feel shitty, like last night. It's my getaway spot where there's hope of better things. It didn't do me any good last night though, I thought I've broken it. So the shitty feeling was dragged on to today.. all I have in my head this morning was ideas to break away from things I dislike. But not long after, I found out that it's not broken..
Only then that I realize, I do want things.. pretty badly (as opposed to an old post I wrote). I guess it's not as obvious before as I used to be able to run away. I'm maturing now, thus learning to face problems, and hopefully end up sucessfully getting what I want (sounds selfish, but I'm not that selfish.. so something I want doesn't have to mean it'll only bring good to me.. then again, you only get to live once, so it's gotta be all about you.. hehehe.. no, I'm not selfish, really.. there are alot of more selfish people out there.. hehehe). All of a sudden, life is not so simple anymore. And this crap is only about a tiny part of my life.. I've got a feeling that life's gonna get rougher.. hmmppfftt..
Hehehe.. or maybe I just need a good retail therapy.. yes I do..
ANYWAYYYYYY.. What's with the quit smoking ad!!! I know that scaring people is one of the marketing tactics (yes, I did a marketing subject in uni) but a visual of someone with mouth cancer telling you to quit smoking.. OMG! Do those marketing people not think about non smokers? What did we do to deserve that ad?!?!?! Helppp...
P.S.: Happy Birthday, Howie.. Australia loves your eyebrows!

Got cock?
Above is a screen dump of my inbox. The unread emails are from the MUISA (Melbourne University Indonesian Students Association) committee mailing list (couldn't be bothered to unsubscribe). Take a look at the subject. What do you think Indonesian students studying at Melb Uni need cocks for?? The email's got quite numerous response as well.. Interesting..

Happy for you
Time answered their question. Apparently, the 2 were a couple.
Now, 5 and a half years have passed. Many things have happened.. the crowd was not the same crowd as it used to be, there were additions and deductions.. but the 2 are still together, and they are soon to wed.
Happy for you, I + F
Knight in shining armor ?
In my personal opinion, chivalry is still highly necessary.. maybe not in a financial manner (i.e. men paying for cocktails) as I do believe that women have to be capable of being independent (i.e. women can afford their own cocktails.. although I don't mind getting some free drinks hehe), but in others. The reasons underlying are not of some song lyrics on the top 40 chart, but they are ones I came up with.. when I'm daydreaming in the office.. 's toilet.. hehehe..
Reason number 1 is of course because women are the ones who get pregnant. Swollen toes, funny way of walking, back ache, uncontrollable farting... and also the post-pregnancy things that follow. Men don't have to go through those stuff (not that women have to, but they are the ones with the capability i.e. womb.. hehehe).
Reason number 2 is g-strings and make-up. Do men have to worry about VPLs and black circles around their eyes? NO! I know that women have their choices too.. some might not mind the "who cares about visible panty lines" attitude, but it's a rough world out there and some of us can be very competitive. Thus as uncomfortable as they are.. I bet every female in the world has at least a pair of g-strings. It's pretty much the same with make up, too.
Reason number 3 is because.. I like it.. although not the extreme ones.. which examples I can't think of right now. I need to spend more time daydreaming.
Anyway, here's the link to the post: http://blogs.theage.com.au/samandthecity/archives/2006/07/chivalrous_men.html
So, to conclude: chivalrous men.. me likey!

MIFF
The one I liked the most was this short film they put on before the actual movie. It started with a scene of a guy in lab coat perving on a girl walking passed him, a nurse. Then it continued with repeating scenes of him masturbating in a cubicle with a photo in his hand, him in a lab throwing away some cups put on a tray, and him looking at photos put up on a wall. There was also a scene with him taking a photo of a lady with a baby in her arms from behind the bushes. I liked how this short film kept me guessing.
Apparently, that guy was in charge of transferring the sperm people have donated from the cups into lab tubes and he’s been replacing all the sperms with his. The photos he’s been staring at are photos of the ladies who have bought HIS sperm and conceived a child, who he’d been stalking. How freaky is that!!!
So those of you who are thinking of conceiving with sperm from the sperm bank might want to have a second thought.. hehe.. hehehe..
Alrightey.. haven't chosen what to see this year, hope there are some that I'll like.

Level 4
It's thursday, baby!
Meaning this time tomorrow... is weekend!!
WOOHOO!!
Don't know why I'm all excited, haven't got anything planned for the weekend and will probably spend my time vegging around at home.. but.. YAY!
So what's been going on?
At work, I moved to level 4 (well all of us, not just me).. finally! I have a place to settle.. and this is what it looks like

Ok, from top left to bottom right:
1. My desk.. messy.. the way a desk is supposed to be.. oh, and next to the purple post-it, there's a sudoku mini book I just made hehehe.. hehe.. why spend $4.95 on one if you can make your own for free?!?!?!
2. The monitor.. at the background is the BA program, which people think I most of the time use and at the front is meebo, which is what I most of the time actually use.. HAIL MEEBO!
3. A new member of my desk.. I know we're supposed to be color coordinated, but it's not a perfect world..
4. Another new member.. the stand. Look at my artwork.. so pretty and colorful.
5. THE drawer.. see how it's now messy.. it's just the effect I have on things around me.. can you see the half eaten pack of peanut MnM's... they're the best!! OMG OMG OMG!
6. Yes, I recycle
7. If I'm not on meebo or coloring my whites (that's what we call those things we process everyday.. the whites.. uUuUuU) that is what I do
8. My origami kitten.. Dave made it.. I actually wanted a pug, but Dave didn't know how to make it :(
9. My second most favourite thing.. the first is the COMPLETED stamp hehe..
ANYWAYYYYYYYYYYYYY.. I was thinking of bringing some photos in, since everybody's got some, I thought I'd jump on board. So yesterday I had a flick through my photo albums.. although I couldn't find one that is pajangable (hehehe....) I did find a cute one..
This was taken sometime in.. either March or February this year.. one of those times that will be glued into my memory forever (awwww.. miss you, Yan!) If you take a closer look at this photo.. you'll find an odd one. One that doesn't belong in the group... found it? found it?
Hihihihi.. do you realize that everybody in the photo smiles or at least tries to smile, while there's one that keeps a straight face.. hehehe.. hehehe.. me baby (that dude in green t-shirt next to the one in black)
Whoops.. gotta go gotta go.. bye now

Eye for an eye
So! The very next thing that I did.. I took those people off my list. Revenge is GOOD! Not all though, I kept one of them. It was one that I had predicted would come out, and I was right. It's this dude who (I'm sure) is now in a much better place than he was when (I think) he deleted me from his list. I wonder when he will stop hating me and put me back on his list. I doubt that it will ever happen as he might have stopped hating me and completely forgotten about me. Which is good. But I'd rather restore the friendship, although of course wouldn't be completely, but.. yeah.. let us make this world a happy place to live in.
Anyway, what do you think about the phrase "forgive but not forget". I reckon BIG hypocrisy underlies it. It's like holding a grudge. What I get when someone says that, is that he wants people to think he is nice, cos he forgives.. however, he also keeps a list of bad things other people have done to him, so someday when another bad thing is done.. I don't know, maybe he'll take out the list and say "hey, I've forgiven you for this and this and that and now you do this.. but I forgive you" Hehehe.. not a good example, but yeah.. It doesn't make sense to me. Someone can forget but not forgive, not the other way around. When you remember someone's fault by heart, how can you forgive?
So when you hate someone and you don't wanna forgive him, just say it. Right? right? That's what I do.. and I think you should too. It might reduce the amount of hair falling off your head. Hehehe..

End of financial year
How are we?!?!
It's Saturday and I couldn't sleep past 8.. my stoopid biological clock! But I slept early anyway last night.. It was good fun though.. and the food was YUM! You'd probably think, if it was fun why did I go home at all.. well, I was at the perfect drunken phase to not bother about other people and just go home and rest hehe. After all, apart from the alcohol, I've also had the 3 course meal, a little bit of arse kissing, dancing, bonding.. everything I came there for! Oh, I haven't mentioned the occasion, have I? It was the end of financial year function the company held at the Grand Hyatt. It was b-e-a-utiful!
I love the centerpiece! If I were drunk enough, maybe I would've stolen it and snuggled it under my skirt.. or between Lyndal's boobs and snuggled Lyndal under my skirt ;) Everybody looked gorgeous last night, and I could obviously see the office bitches here and there.. hehe or maybe I was just being envious cos they were beautiful and they've got boobs to show off. People were hitting on each other. Some people were staying at hotels because they wanted to drink. Apparently, it's quite costly to get drunk here. So I wouldn't blame them if they were thinking "hey, I've got the hotel room, might as well try to get lucky!". Anyway.. here's a blurry photo of my lovely old team.. I still consider myself as part of them, they're great people. I don't know whether they consider me as one of them though.. but who cares hey! Hehe.. I was the only newbie there. It's not easy being a newbie..
OMG OMG can't stop eating this lofet peanuts! Do you think I should tidy up my room or just wait until me temong can't stand the mess and let him do the job? Hmm.. the latter. CYAAA!!
