Worn out

It's been quite a while since I last blogged. It has been a very tiring week. I guess I wasn't.. and still am not feeling 100% anyway.. everybody's been coming down with a flu. I want a holiday!! Hehe.. 3 weeks working and I've already wanted a holiday.

Summing up my life from Monday to today:
1. Waking up to the screaming alarm originated from my stoopid mobile phone
2. Snooze it a couple of times until I finally have the energy to wake up
3. Shower and run to the office.. (not literally run, you bozo, I take the public transport)
4. Greet everybody sitting around me at the office
5. 2 cups of cofffee
6. Hoping that webmarshal is good to me and let me access meebo
7. Scold webmarshal.. (this past 2 days it didn't even let me use google chat.. HATE IT!)
8. Lunch + vit C
9. Email people I can send email to.. and work in between
10. Another cup of coffee
11. Apple
12. Chit chat with Paul (he once brought me apples from another floor cos my floor ran out of apples.. he callsme princess too.. ahh.. hihihi)
13. Wait for the clock on the computer says 5.00 (cos it's 5 minutes faster than my watch)
14. Glepak di ranjang.. cape.. although after reading through the list above, it seems like I didn't do anything.. oh well.. I'm getting old..

Anyway.. I've surrendered to webmarshal.. and sold my soul to the almighty. My job is boring and the past couple of days, like one third of the people on me floor are on leave (most on sick and some on annual). It's bloody quiet.. sometimes the silence is deafening....... could.. not.. take.. it.. no.. more! So.. yeah.. hehe.. HOWEVER, me temong has told me a way that might trick webmarshal into letting me use instant messenger. I'm gonna try it tomorrow. Hope it works!

Udah ah.. gada ceritaan niiiiiiii.. lagi males.. pengen tidur"an ajaaa.. and play with me monkey.. me monkey me likey

Homify your office

My team moved to level 4 yesterday (they decided to do it yesterday instead of thursday cos it's still a big mess up there) and I just realized that people's been making the office their second home. Lyndal has action figures on her cpu, Barbara has plush toys, Sharon (an australian born chinese) has an oz flag (don't know why) and some other decorative stuff.. even Scot, who's newer than me, has put up 2 photos of his girlfriend on the wall.

Is it that the job has taken them so far away from people or place they love? Or is it one of the ways to express oneself.. So people who walk past your desk would be able to guess what you are like by looking at what you've got on your desk and wall.. Or maybe.. it's how one marks one's teritorry. It's like when a dog wees on a tree. For whatever reason it is, I reckon it is good to do so (esp. for the company) because it shows a sense of belongingness.. commitment. This is so much different from my previous workplace.. nobody puts anything on their desk (except for the owner of the company, who has everything all over the place) and some of them are rarely in good mood. Which has somehow traumatized me a little bit.

Oh! OH! I saw the cutest little thing on planet yesterday. There was a puppy pug (black, not the normal browns) at pet's paradise. I was with me Te, who I think lives on a "touching is believing" motto.. so we ended up playing with the little monster. He's insanely expensive - around $1500 - and requires high maintenance too.. crap! I don't even maintain myself, how can I maintain you, you little most adorable thing I've ever seen in my 24 (crap! I just typed 22.. can't believe I'm 24.. crap!) years of living.. I WANT A PUGGGGG.. mr pugsley wusley musley.. heheh.. hehehe.. hehehe..

Anywayyy.. I'm not putting anything on my desk until I settle.. And this is what I would want to sit on my desk.. just next to the monitor. What do you think it tells about me? Don't say a sweet tooth, cos I'm not..

Me Vs Webmarshal

ADUHHH!! Sebel.. udah nulis panjang".. terus CPU nya ketendang tombol resetnya.. jadi ilang semuwaaaa.. uhhhhhgg!! Hihihi.. So now I'm gonna exercise my bilinguality (if that's a word) biar lebih asshhoyyy hihihi

Jadi kira" kaya gini isinya si blog yang tadi udah ditulis.

Me and webmarshal.. NOT FRIENDS!! Friendster, blogger, youtube.. all of my favourites are blocked! Risih sih nulis pake bahasa Indo ya.. ngomongnya apa dong? Aku? Saya? Gue? Kalo di infotainment" gitu, sebel bgt kalo denger seleb" ngomong pake gue.. bukan artinya aku seleb sih.. hihi.. aku aja ah.. biar imyut! Ya udah, harus cepet" ngeblognya soalnya sebentar lagi udah harus ngantuk.. hihihi.. hihihi.. aneh nulis pake bahasa indo..

IYAAAAAAA, si webmarshal itu ya! Bikin orang jadi ga punya hiburan. Satu"nya hiburan aku jadinya cuma si Fred Italiano doang. Opa" bersuara aduhai yang tadi ga ngerti" waktu aku bilang the age.. ih pake aku juga sedikit jijik.. tapi gimana dong.. biar deh ya! I guess he's not used to my pronunciation.. yet! I'll give him a good month.. hehe.. bego ah, orang ngomongnya jelas koq tadi, THE AGE gitu.. masa dia bilang.. what what, sorry what.. v? apa gitu.. uhhhhh.. jahat si Fred! hihihi.. untung suaranya bagus.. bleh!

Oh, because of Webmarshal too, I almost sell my soul to the almighty IPOD! I think I'm the last person on the planet who doesn't own one of those mp3 player gadgets.. Well, maybe second last cos I know someone who doesn't have one as well.. hehe.. unless if he'd already sold his soul without telling me. (Sebenernya sih, gada salahnya sama si ipod itu, cuma mahal doang.. kan mendingan dipake buat beli yang laeenn.. atau makan enaakkk.. atau ditabung untuk masa depan hihihi.. dan emang me not that crazy about those kind of thingies)

Jadi, I only have this mobile phone, which can hold.. I don't know up to how many songs.. but I only have 5 in it. Actually, it was only yesterday did I realize that I had 5, I thought I only have 3 before (duuh koq perasaan grammarnya bejat berat.. punten ya). I couldn't be bothered adding more into it. So, for the first few days of work, I listened to 3 songs repeatedly.. and yesterday and today I listened to the other 2.. which are 7 days in sunny June and some lady's jazzy version of my way. Hehehe..

Do you know how songs can remind you to a particular event.. or is it only me? I have a few songs that can give me that blast from the past. But mostly not good ones. One of the Silverchair albums and the jazz compilation album that I have remind me of my lonely days.. sahhhhhh.. hihi.. di studio, memandang state library, lagi ujan, sendirian.. laper lagi.. uh.. sedih.. so I hardly listen to those songs ever again. But I have the ones like 7 days in sunny June, which reminds me of sunny November, grass, and a middle-aged lady dancing like crazy. Tapi mungkin seudah 2 hari diulang2 terus sambil kerjain data entry, memorinya bakal kereplace.. blehh.. hihihihi..

Lalu lalu.. kenapa jadi ngomongin itu ya.. tiba" ngantuk.. hihi. udah ah.. besok saya sudah menyiapkan USB penuh sama lagu2 dan si patal minjemin anu, jadi.. bye bye my way.. eh, iya, masa si komputer bapuk itu, ga punya cd/dvd rom.. adanya disket.. ih nyolot ya! untung masih ada usb.. hahahaha.. sebenernya i should be socializing during lunch time sih, bukannya malahan browsing".. tapi kan I do my socializing while I'm doing my job.. yesterday I imel"an sama temen" satu team, salah satunya gay.. lucu deh.. he's so out of the closet, malah emang" lantai 4 yang lagi ngebangun tembok" aja mo digebetin sama dia hehe.. hehe..

oya, jadi intinya post ini, anyone who has any idea on how to get around that webmarshal dood, please let me know yaaaaa.. tadi udah nge google dikit ttg itu.. tapi males baca, mendingan dikasih tau aja.. lebih seru.. ya ga ya ga hihihi.. hihihi..

dah dahhhhhhhhhhh

Nomad

This is what I'm gonna see everyday until mid next month.. no more Ken Silvers and his motorola ringtone for me.. I've been moved to level 3.. from level 6.. and next month I'm moving to level 4.. I'm a nomad!

Feels like year 12 all over again. So I was (and still am) friends with this boy, who happened to be the principal's son, who got to choose the people he was going to be in the same class with (I know it's not fair, but that's how things are done back home, isnt' it?!). So I was in that "special" class, until this one teacher came up from nowhere with her stoopid rule that couples weren't supposed to be in the same class.

My then boyfriend was in that class as well, since he was best friends with the principal's son.. So principal's son chose him over me, and I was moved to another class.. I should've thought of breaking up and going out with principal's son instead! I was too naive..

Diana (my lovely Diana.. hmm... *memories*) was also kicked out from the class, can't remember why.. not to the same class as me though.. She fought back and asked to have me moved to her class as she loved me too much.. and the teacher listened.. So there was I, of all 5 classes (IPA dong!) I've been in 3 of them..

Anywayyyyyyyy.. a bit of explanation on the photo.. from left-right-top-bottom.. MY VERY OWN STATIONERY DRAWER!!! WOOHOOO!!! How pretty is it!! hihihi.. Then my stoopid keyboard, which is nailed to the desk.. Then my phone, which hasn't been reset, so it only sits there and does nothing.. Then the headset (eeeww!!).. Then Fred Italiano's desk (I've actually thought of having Indonesiano as my surname.. NOT!).. Then Scot (1 t) the new guy I trained yesterday, who got yelled at by his presumably girlfriend because he didn't pick up her call as he was away from his desk.. Then a wall socket (didn't have that before).. Then the same name thingy.. Then my new shoes.. hahahahaha.. hahaha...

Patal datang membawa makanan.. dah dahhh

Cita-cita

Do you remember what you said when you were little and someone asked what you wanted to be when you grow up? I do.. I told them I wanted to be a president, but only because my mom told me that it's cool to be a president.. then when I was a bit older, my answer changed to a doctor, and that one was me.

When I graduated from high school, I was faced with 2 options. Either to stay and study medicine or go abroad and study something else. Obviously, I chose the latter. So there goes my childhood ambition. Since then, I'm back to ground zero.. that little kid with nothing but her mom's answer. However, that desire to help people still nest inside of me.

As I was daydreaming at the office today, I figured out what I want to be! Do you think I'll get to be what I wanted to be? Hehehe.. I'll keep you posted.

The one with the job

I’ve got a new routine. Starting yesterday, I will spend my weekday mornings (by morning I mean sometime around 7 a.m., not my normal morning which is more like 11 a.m.) waking up, getting my bum into the shower, thinking hard on where is best to take a dump and whether to get take-away coffee or just make one at the office. Yes, people.. I’m finally earning a living. Not the way I’d prefer, but it pays the bills (well, not yet, since I’ve only been working for 1 and a half day now hehe).

It’s a non-stress role in an company located in East Melbourne. It’s the high rise building (remind me to check the number of levels in this building, it’s sometimes amazing how inattentive I could be) 2 shops away from Laurent. So, anybody who would wanna have lunch with me, do buzz me on my direct line! Hehehe.. yes, I got my own extension, email, passkey and stationery.. haha.. Those things excite me hihihi.. I’m so cheap. You should’ve seen my face when Vicky showed me the stationery cabinet. I was like a little girl on her first visit to a candy shop. But the coolest part of this company would be their intranet website. It’s like the office version of friendster. You can check out everybody's profile even though they're not your friend *sarcastic smile to people who don't let their fs profile open for everybody to see*

So.. if you wanna know what someone looks like (this comes in very handy for me as it's too bloody hard to memorize everybody's name so quickly), you can go to the website, enter the name.. and voila! A page with the person's details and photo will come up. Wait.. it gets better! When you don't know the person's name, but you know where he/she works (i.e. which level of which building) or in what department, you can easily browse through the entire level/building/department. HOW COOL IS THAT! Hehehehehe.. Oh, and one more thing.. My division is called CPU.. hahaha.. close enough to CTU.. I HEART JACK BAUER!

Anyway, I was planning to spend my lunch break writing an entry for this blog today, but when I typed in the web address, this is what came up.
I know I know, it's friendster that I was trying to open (for you who pays attention), but it reacted the same with blogger.com. Crappy office internet with stoopid "block pornography" crap. Blergh! Hihihihi.. So now I've gotta write in MS Words and paste it at home. Blergh!

An intermezzo: I just found someone whose surname is Cockshutt and owns a massage business in a suburb called Humpty Doo. Sometimes I'm glad that I don't have a surname.. although at the office, I do have one..

And that is pretty much gonna be my every weekday scenery for the next couple of weeks or so. The resident of the empty seat is Ken Silver.. not that it matters.. hehehe.. Someone.. anyone.. please give me a more challenging job.. Promise I'll be good.. I won't blog or check my friendster at work.. hehehehe...

More posts to come.. comments are very welcomed, non anonymous more appreciated... BYE NOW!!!

Something's got me thinking

Do women really think too much? This is something that I've never thought about before. But the more I think about it, the more I want to think some more.. Do women not need to think as much as they do.. or do they?

That word that starts with a B

Balance.. Do you believe that there has to be a balance in life? I'm not asking in terms of junk food-green vegies balance.. but more like a good-evil balance (for you who still think "what is this chick talking about; junk food good, green vegies evil".. a noogie from me to you!)

Do you believe that you have to not do evil to get some good in return.. so if you do some not so good things, you're not gonna get goodie bags pouring down on you.

I've had this little thought for a while now. I wanted to give up something.. or things I really really like, with a hope that I'd get some other thing.. or things I really really like, so there would be a balance. When I consulted my sister (yes, maybe I have a sister) she reckons that it's a stoopid idea. Her version of balance would be.. when I'm not so happy due to my lacking of a certain something, I should make a good use of other certain somethings that I do have.

Which one is balanced? Does life really need to be balanced? What is balance anyway?

p.s.: After reading this entry a couple of zillion times, it's becoming more and more like a reward/punishment scheme instead of a balance crap. I think I've lost it.. I had it in my head.. but I lost it.. hehehe.. bare with me, people.. We're at the beginning of my learning curve in expressing my thoughts.. blog shaped.
